One of my favorite vegetables – whether it’s sauteed with a little butter, in an omelet, or quiche. I love it. A few weeks ago Annie Mahle who writes for the Portland Press Herald’s Maine Ingredient column, had a recipe run for Pork, Potato, and Parsnip Hash with Poached Eggs & Asparagus. Yummy!

Notice in this second photo how the asparagus has a purple tip to it and the bunch behind does not. The ones that were grown in a controlled environment does not have the purple – neat huh!

I was actually trying to photograph the rolling pin and towel on the rustic counter but caught myself instead. I love how I see what I was going for and in the photograph exactly the same thing – a true reflection I think.

I wish Azaleas bloomed year round. I will enjoy them while they are there.

Last Saturday A and I went to the Camden Farmers Market. One vendor had all these amazing spring flowers including these Parrot Tulips. I may just have to plants some in the fall. I love them!
